JA Alumni Accelerator Award Announced for Entrepreneurs seeking Business Funding

The Award: JA Alumni Accelerate Award, presented by FedEx
Each year, 10 million students participate in JA programs around the world, and millions of JA alumni enter the world’s workforce and economy annually. Of these potential entrepreneurs, 71% are likely to start their own businesses within one year.
Together with FedEx, we want to help these young people turn their ideas into real businesses. The JA Alumni Accelerator Awards enable JA alumni to move their business ideas from theory to reality, giving them the support, they need and putting them in the driver’s seat. Do they need a business boot camp to help drive their business forward? With this funding, JA alumni can tell us what they need to bring their ideas and businesses to life.
JA alumni with great business ideas can apply for the award as individuals or with their potential business partners (at least one of the future co-founders needs to be a JA alum). The nominees are selected by a jury represented by FedEx, JA Worldwide, and successful JA alumni entrepreneurs.
The Price:
The two winners of the JA Alumni Accelerate Awards will receive a cash prize of either $12,500 or $7,500 and mentorship from older and established JA Alumni entrepreneurs, bringing the alumni journey full circle!
