More than 50 alumni leaders from over 15 nations participated in the first e-NCM on April 4th right in front of their laptops. The agenda was packed with interesting and relevant topics such as updates, NCM bidding, new KPIs for the country ranking and specific “Corona masterclasses”.

Unfortunately the JA Alumni Network was not spared from the Corona crisis either and sadly the spring NCM could not take place as planned in Copenhagen, Denmark. Within a few days and weeks the European Board set up an online solution so that the very first e-NCM could take place on April 4th. The European Board opened the e-NCM with the announcement and proposal of "Project Acceleration" and the vision to establish and pay for national Alumni Coordinators in the future. A definite game-changer for most member-nations with many updated to follow during the next NCMs.

One of the most exciting agenda points was for sure the NCM bidding for 2021 and onwards. JA Alumni Germany, JA Alumni Albania and JA Albumni Italy served their best in the pitch game and presented their network, country and event strategy.  It was a tough and close decision that in the end was made in favour of JA Alumni Albania and their chosen host city Tirana. The bidding for next year’s conference #JAAC21 was postponed until end of May. Countries interested can therefore still apply by contacting the European Board.

In smaller groups challenges and problems connect to COVID-19 such as e-Events, e-recruiting, leadership, communications and many more. It was a great and interactive session where lots of valuable ideas and inputs were collected and presented. The implementation of Gather on national level was aswell a broad overall topic in many sessions.

We personally want to thank all NCs, ICs and other board members for their participation and engagement in this first e-NCM. We know that it was an unusual situation but we believe we all gave it our best and ultimately made it a great success! Special thanks go out to the Danish organizing team of JA Alumni Denmark, who gave their all up until the very last second to make this event happen in Copenhagen. We can not wait to meet you all in person again in November.

We are more than ever looking forward to physically gather for one last time in November 2020 in Copenhagen, Denmark!
